I’m so happy to hear and see that people of Candon are active in reforestation programs by celebrating the ” Fiesta ti Bantay “. Aside from planting trees, it would be imperative for us to think why people are cutting trees?. For me, because of our Virginia Tobacco products. It would be happier to hear if public officials of Candon are doing research or initiative for the farmers to dry thier tobacco products without using dry woods, or alternative products or livelihood. Otherwise, the trees that we plant today will be cut down tomorrow. Rgards to my cousin, Dr. Oseas Diasen.

calamay is a pride of every Candonian. It is a delicacy that is brought worldwide. It is compared to baklava from Turkey, otap from Cebu, or even apple pie from the US. Calamy making industry has made Candon very famous. I am very proud to be from Candon.

I am a Candonian living in Calgary, Canada. I don’t belong to any club or ass’n. and I am interested in coming for the reunion in Las Vegas. Do I have to register to join? Should I join a club to be able to participate with the incoming events, programs and projects of Candonians?
