Presidentable led Deputy Speaker’s well wishers

No less than Secretaries Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro and Jesli Lapuz of the Department of National Defense and Department of Education respectively led the array of guests of Deputy Speaker Eric Singson in his birthday bash recently at the Stern Mall, Candon city, Ilocos Sur.
Singson was obviously elated to see about 10, 000 people who came over and join him in his birthday bash.
Helping the deputy speaker in receiving the guests was his wife, former congresswoman Grace Singson.
Other top officials present were Deputy National Security Adviser and former Ilocos Sur Gov Luis “Chavit” Singson, Governors Deogracias Victor “DV” Savellano and Eustaquio “Takit” Bersamin of Ilocos Sur and Abra respectively, Deputy Speaker’s colleagues at the lower house, mayors of the second district of Ilocos Sur led by City Mayor Allen Singson.
“My wish in my birthday is continuous good health and help my constituents find funding of the different projects they wanted, “ Singson said.
Teodoro, one of the early Presidential contenders, expressed his appreciation to the help extended by Deputy Speaker and his wife during their stint in congress.
He recalled how he learned valuable lessons from the Singson couple. Teodoro is a three- termer congressman of Tarlac before his current position.
Lapuz, a senatorial aspirant under the administration party, lauded the deputy speaker on how he fought for the best interest of the tobacco growers and for the whole northern Luzon in general.
The birthday celebration started with a concelebrated mass led by Nueva Segovia Archbishop Ernesto Salgado.
Other top officials present were Congressmen Sandy Ocampo ( Manila), Solomon Chungalao ( Ifugao), Jose Pingay ( Coop-Natco) and Pacoy Ortega ( Abono).
The extension of the birthday ceremonies is the inauguration of the Diversion Work Project for Suyo- Tagudin- Santa Cruz national irrigation system.
The 33 million project will benefit 5, 000 farmers and 1, 500 hectares in the said three towns. (LBJ)
